Loosening, mixing, leveling, and kneading collectively achieve the desired cultivation effect

Effective cultivation is facilitated by the integration of tines with undercutters, leveling discs with adjustable working depths, and an appropriate roller. Proven plough systems ensure reliable and aggressive soil penetration and cutting through crop residues. The main frame, constructed from thick-walled profiles, provides a robust structure to withstand even the most challenging conditions. The compact design and significant spacing of the tine rows ensure unobstructed operation and high efficiency. The primary purpose of using a post-harvest cultivator is to remove couch grass runners and destroy deeply rooted weeds, thereby reducing the need for chemical treatments. An optional catch crop seeder can be mounted on the cultivator frame at the customer's request.

Sintered carbide-equipped working elements are recommended for heavy loads on large-area farms or in services cultivating non-stony soils. Carbide plates can extend the operating time of cultivator working elements by up to seven times.

11. Solid oversized machine frame

The solid frame construction is the most critical element of the cultivation machine. The substantial amount of steel used in its construction makes these robust tools capable of utilizing the high power of modern agricultural tractors, ensuring many years of operation on the farm.

12. Quality steel

Achieving a high-quality final product necessitates the use of superior metallurgical materials; therefore, in manufacturing the agricultural machine frame, we utilize fine-grained Swedish steels S500MC and S700MC.

13. Laser processing of sheets, tubes, and profiles

The application of laser techniques in the production of agricultural machinery facilitates precise cutting in high-quality, hard sheets, where conventional chip drilling methods are challenging and costly.

14. Steel shot blasting and powder coating

Proper preparation of machine parts combined with powder coating ensures a durable and robust coating. Additional maintenance and complicated care are unnecessary.

U453 cultivator tines – accurate soil penetration and stubble cutting.

Cultivator tines

The U 453 stubble cultivator is equipped with widely recognized functioning systems, including a four-element working system with a heart-shaped share and a five-element system with a split share. Both configurations ensure aggressive soil penetration and effective undercutting of crop residues. The working angle can be adjusted by repositioning the screw holding the tine in both the screw-protected and spring-protected variants. In challenging conditions, a larger attack angle can be applied to the working elements, enhancing the machine's ability to penetrate hard soil. Using original spare parts guarantees the same quality of working elements as those in the factory-new machine.

Spring protection system in the U453 grubber – overload control in agricultural machinery.

Spring protection

Basic screw protection can be problematic in areas with numerous obstacles. In stony soils, stone protection with maintenance-free, robust springs is recommended. When the tine encounters a stone, it moves away along with the leg, compressing the spring. Once the obstacle is surpassed, the wing coulters automatically return to their working position. Each tine independently responds to obstacles, and the spring helps minimize collision forces and quickly restores the component to its precise working position. Spring protection for the tines in the stubble cultivator is available as an additional option.

Levelling discs of the U453 stubble cultivator – effective soil mixing and levelling.

Leveling discs

Levelling the soil is essential for proper compaction. This task is managed by the levelling discs. Mounted on the beam in front of the tillage roller, they can adjust the distance from the working elements, which is crucial in high stubble and large accumulations of straw. Each disc can be individually adjusted and appropriately adapted to the working speed. The levelling elements are made of boron steel. The solid construction of the disc hub ensures long service life. A pair of edge discs for levelling side ridges is standard equipment for every stubble cultivator.

Spring comb beam in U453 – precision distribution of stubble residues.

Spring comb beam

The manufacturer optionally installs a beam with a spring comb behind the disc section, ensuring the straw is evenly spread across the field's surface, thereby preventing areas of high straw accumulation that hinder proper cultivation. Uniform straw distribution is crucial, as it ensures consistent development conditions for the next crop across the entire field. The spring comb is an effective tool that enhances cultivation, offering optimal starting conditions for sown plants.
