The U 622 light disc harrow is engineered for small and medium-sized farms, where lower-power tractors are available. Notable features include its compact design, reduced weight, and cost-effectiveness. The unit is distinguished by the mounting of discs on vibrating springs, making it ideal for weak and medium soils. It effectively follows the field surface and mixes crop residues with the soil. Available widths are 2.5 m, 2.7 m, and 3.0 m, with disc diameters of 510 mm or 560 mm.




Compact dimensions, lightweight, and low maintenance costs

The small harrow combines high-speed shallow cultivation with effective compaction. A robust spring, measuring 13 mm x 100 mm, allows for aggressive penetration of the discs, adjustment to uneven terrain, and protection of the entire structure from damage. The standard disc hub is based on tapered roller bearings and requires lubrication every 150 hectares for a 3 m working width. Optionally, SKF tapered roller bearings that require maintenance or maintenance-free AgriHub and SKF disc hubs can be installed. During tests on light and medium soils, the machine, based on two rows of discs mounted on a leg that also serves as a safety spring, proved comparable in performance to machines with rubber protection used by the company for many years.

The harrow discs are effective not only in shallow stubble cultivation but also in soil preparation for sowing. The light disc harrow exhibits features that enable it to efficiently mix soil with manure or significant amounts of organic matter. With minimized adjustment and lubrication points, both operation and maintenance are simplified to manageable tasks. Beyond the primary working section— the discs— the cultivation roller is crucial. It sets the working depth of the discs and significantly influences the final cultivation outcome. The machine comes standard with a Ø500 mm pipe roller.

1. Rear LED lighting beam

Optionally, the LED lighting beam can be equipped with a license plate frame with illumination for machines that will be registered at the transport office.

2. Three-point linkage

The massive suspension system serves as a supporting element of the mulching harrow. The solid tower of the three-point suspension system makes the machine durable and resistant to loads.

3. Working elements

Standard harrow disc with aggressive tine 560 mm, manufactured by OFAS. Basic thickness 4 mm, with options for 5 mm and 6 mm. Additional disc shapes available: smooth, fine-tooth, ALFA disc.

5. Spring protection

The U 622 light disc harrow features robust springs securing each disc. These springs are reinforced and stabilized from beneath the frame with a specialized plate.

The use of side levelling covers retains the cut and mixed straw within the unit, preventing the formation of mounds and ruts during subsequent passes.

7. Hinge of the outer disc

The U 622 light disc harrow, with a working position width exceeding 3.0 meters, features two hinges—one on each side. When adjusted to the transport position, these hinges ensure the width does not surpass 3.0 meters, facilitating the transport of agricultural equipment on public roads.

8. Tillage roller

To cultivate the soil effectively, selecting the appropriate tillage roller is essential. The choice depends on the soil type and the desired outcome. Each roller variant is designed for specific working conditions.

The application of laser techniques in the production of agricultural machinery facilitates precise cutting in high-quality, hard sheets, where conventional chip drilling methods are challenging and costly.

13mm x 100mm springs enable vertical and lateral horizontal movement when overloaded. This flexibility permits the discs to reverse and pass over stones without affecting the working depth of other elements. The cushioning is intended for breaking up and leveling dense vegetation cover, post-harvest work, and mixing organic matter, such as manure, into the soil.
