An increasing number of farmers and service companies are incorporating knife rollers into the front three-point linkage of tractors. These designs are well-conceived and continuously refined, enhancing soil cultivation without incurring additional costs. For optimal stubble processing and to reduce the number of passes required over the field, it is economically prudent to support the operations of stubble cultivators and disc harrows by mounting a cutting knife roller on the tractor's front three-point linkage. The knife roller aligns seamlessly with the ultra-shallow soil cultivation concept. TurboCut is available in two configurations: the first features two cutting rollers with straight knives mounted at an angle, which can be replaced with spiral cutting knives; the second, TurboCut Plus, is a robust machine that can combine a knife roller with wavy cutting discs. The TurboCut knife roller is designed for the intensive shredding of post-harvest residues of corn and rapeseed, as well as the green mass of cover crops. It is also an effective tool for combating corn borer larvae in corn stalks. The TurboCut roller operates at speeds between 5-20 km/h, with a recommended speed of above 12 km/h. TurboCut can be integrated with other machines, which might struggle to handle unmulched stubble independently.
Optimal shredding effect due to a meticulously designed structure
Combination of cultivation tools for optimal cultivation
Standard straight knives mounted at an angle can be replaced with optional spiral cutting components. Their oblique arrangement ensures an optimal distribution of cutting force, resulting in an even work effect. The roller knives are arranged at the opposite angle, allowing for a cross-cutting effect. The roller geometry forms working elements along six spiral lines. This configuration supports high working speeds in the field. The spiral roller’s outer diameter of 320 mm facilitates an increased rotational speed compared to previous designs, enhancing the fragmentation of plant residues post-operation. This improves the precise cutting of crop residues and controls the corn borer. In the TurboCut Plus version, a single row of the cutting roller is replaced with a row of 410 mm diameter discs, which cut vertically and feature hydraulic adjustment of the working beam. Connecting the machine to the front of the tractor enhances traction and provides additional utility. The two-sided three-point hitch system enables the TurboCut knife roller to operate effectively as a standalone device or in combination with tillage machines mounted on the tractor's rear linkage. The combination of the TurboCut knife roller at the front and a disc harrow or stubble cultivator at the rear is ideal and recommended for post-harvest operations of corn, sunflower, or rape.
High-yield cover crops, self-seeding, and cost-effective stubble removal
Passive tools enhance the efficiency of field operations. Utilizing the machine at the front of the tractor instead of front axle weights results in improved crop yields. Safety is paramount; hence, each knife is secured with four screws. The standard equipment includes a roller cover made of sheet metal. Solid knife mounts are welded to a thick-walled 178 mm x 10 mm pipe. Replaceable knives are made of hardened boron steel with a thickness of 8 mm, known for their high durability. The machine's working elements are mounted on a closed roller pipe, preventing wet and damp soil from compacting inside. A special torsion mechanism in the upper suspension system protects the tractor and the machine from excessive load. Machines on the front three-point linkage of the tractor offer an excellent solution for high cultivation costs by performing additional tasks within one tractor pass. The knife roller achieves its intended effects at a depth not exceeding 3 cm, making it a highly economical device.

Spiral knife roller
The solutions implemented in the spiral cutting roller, derived from comprehensive research and development efforts, are protected by intellectual property through a patent application. The state-of-the-art report for this project confirms the industrial applicability, novelty, and inventive nature of the sinusoidal solution. The roller's unique spiral geometry enables smooth penetration during plant cutting, reducing excessive vibrations and enhancing work quality and comfort. Tools arranged in tandem with opposite spiral directions achieve a precise pattern of smooth cross-cutting through the intersection of two sinusoidal lines. Utilizing the roller enhances cultivation, increases efficiency, and enables work in previously impracticable conditions. The spiral knife roller's design ensures high efficiency in agrotechnical treatments on stubble, such as shredding crop residues and destroying catch crops through its cross-cutting system.
The primary properties
TurboCut Plus
The second knife roller can be replaced by a row of cushioned cutting discs rotating on maintenance-free hubs, designating the machine as TurboCut Plus. The combination of horizontal cutting with the knife roller and vertical cutting with the wavy cutting discs breaks up crop residues and cover crops in one operation, facilitating economical cultivation. The working depth is adjusted hydraulically, saving setup time. Frame twisting is managed by the front roller joint in guides and slides made of polyamide. The TurboCut Plus machine is specifically developed for stubble after harvesting rapeseed, soybeans, sunflowers, corn, and corn silage, as well as for shredding cover and catch crops.
Work efficiency
Every farm focuses on minimizing fuel and labor resources while avoiding the waste of valuable time on daily tasks. The TurboCut device meets these objectives. Sowing with the support of a disc harrow can commence immediately after stubble cultivation, reducing the number of field procedures. The device also enables higher working speeds and lower power requirements. TurboCut is notable for its markedly lower energy consumption compared to a mulcher, no need for a PTO drive, extended operating intervals due to maintenance-free bearings, and independent attachment of working elements. This ensures optimal protection against erosion and rapid degradation of crop residues.

Ultra-shallow cultivation
The challenges posed to farmers by the changing climate, coupled with new EU Common Agricultural Policy guidelines, have led to increased popularity of ultra-shallow cultivation tools in Poland. Rolmako adapts to these new conditions by offering a range of soil cultivation machinery. Every unwanted plant in the field results in a loss of valuable water, which is crucial during dry seasons. In times when crops increasingly suffer from drought, we cannot afford to allow plantations to become overgrown. Weeds and self-seeding plants compete for water, light, space, and nutrients. Limiting them should be a priority from the moment of harvesting the previous crop. Failure to provoke early weed germination will result in serious problems for the subsequent crop. Using the TurboCut roller, rapeseed and weed seeds germinate quickly due to shallow soil placement. Germinated seeds of volunteers and weeds can be destroyed in the next mechanical procedure. This method is a return to known and proven techniques, leading to reduced use of chemical plant protection agents and broader adoption of integrated protection methods. Machines for ultra-shallow cultivation are gaining popularity among farmers, not just those employing no-plough technology.
Various configurations available
Extensive export experience has enabled us to craft an offer aligned with customer expectations. Numerous configurations and additional agricultural equipment options allow us to adapt the device to specific field conditions. Years of dedicated efforts by Rolmako employees in enhancing the company's products ensure we deliver the highest quality products to the most remote regions, where they have proven effective in diverse soil systems.
Steel offering a competitive advantage
Increasingly larger and more powerful agricultural tractors subject the structural elements of agricultural machinery to significant stress, pushing them to their operational limits. Modern agricultural structures are expected to demonstrate high resistance to loads and an extended service life. Achieving a high-quality end product necessitates the use of superior-quality steel in production. Accordingly, we utilize high-quality Swedish fine-grained steels S500MC and S700MC, as well as carbon and boron steels for heat treatment and the wear-resistant Hardox. The use of these high-quality steel products ensures our agricultural equipment is highly durable and capable of operating at high speeds with high surface efficiency.
Oversized agricultural structures
Rolmako tillage machines distinguish themselves from competitors due to their superior weight. The company's development team designs agricultural equipment to endure the most challenging working conditions. Rolmako machines efficiently cultivate land in demanding regions worldwide without requiring additional loads. The substantial amount of steel in their construction makes these tillage tools robust, enabling the utilization of high-power modern tractors and ensuring long-term farm investment.
