Modern construction
Uniform pressure on the discs along the entire length of the machine is achieved by advancing the axle and implementing a design with two foldable side frames. This design minimizes the need for multiple hydraulic cylinders, thereby reducing the risk of pressure loss on the side arms. Even with a working width of up to 12 meters, the disc harrow remains extremely compact during transport, not exceeding a transport width of 3 meters. Additionally, the machine's height remains just under 4 meters, even with double U-RING rollers. This compactness during transport is primarily due to a mechanism for folding the frame towards the drawbar. Despite the large working width, this design allows the disc harrow to be easily moved between fields or on public roads, enhancing its practicality and efficiency in agricultural work.
Crossboard drag
The harrow is constructed from hardened springs and bent working tips. Positioned ahead of the disc section, it breaks up clods and levels the field, creating an optimal surface for sowing. The harrow is effective on stony fields as it does not bring stones to the surface. For challenging conditions, an optional stabilizing beam can be mounted to connect the working elements into a unified system for enhanced leveling. When a hard crust forms on the field surface, an aggressive skid with DoubleKnife tines is recommended.
Tillage rollers
Kneading, compacting the soil, crushing clods, and leveling the field surface are the final stages of cultivation, performed by the rear roller following the working tools of the cultivation machines. The selection of the appropriate cultivation roller significantly impacts the entire work process and the functionality of the cultivation machine. At Rolmako, we offer a variety of cultivation rollers that differ in shape, material, external diameter, weight, and, most importantly, cultivation purpose. The choice of roller depends on the soil type and the desired cultivation outcome. Rolmako provides expert advisory services to ensure proper adjustment of the cultivation machine to the working conditions.
The primary properties
LongLife rubber shock absorber
Each disc is independently mounted to the frame using a 40 mm x 180 mm rubber shock absorber, ensuring consistent maintenance of the working depth, an aggressive cultivation effect, and protection against damage. Rubber spring elements allow optimal adjustment of the recessed discs to the soil contours. The rubber rollers prevent sudden impacts with their extended shock absorption path. This ensures the safety of the disc harrow frame and maintenance-free overload protection while maintaining the set depth.
Supporting wheels
Wide front support wheels offer exceptional control over working depth, enhancing work stabilization and providing additional support to relieve the three-point tractor suspension system. The large wheel diameter ensures smooth operation on uneven fields, guarantees precise performance with wide machinery, and positively influences cultivation quality by stabilizing the machine during operation.
Maximum lifespan of disc bearings
The elimination of hub maintenance requirements minimizes maintenance needs and conserves time. Standard hubs can be substituted with SKF original maintenance-free hubs, offering three times the service life of other solutions. SKF quality ensures enhanced reliability, increased efficiency, and reduced operating costs. The service life of SKF hubs is substantially higher than that of conventional bearings, achieving this with relatively low ownership and operating costs. Composed of 100% bearing steel, the hub optimizes machine uptime and reduces agricultural machinery service costs.
Utilization of various disc variants
The optimized angle of attack is identical for both rows of discs, ensuring the machine follows the tractor precisely. The quality of the steel and the extensive experience gained through many years of production by the Italian company OFAS guarantee a top-quality product that has been approved worldwide. Discs with an aggressive tine are primarily used for working in fields with substantial straw. The disc tines facilitate easier machine penetration in challenging dry conditions. Smooth and fine-toothed discs are designed for shallower pre-sowing cultivation. The ALFA disc delivers excellent results on stubble after corn harvested for grain.
Hydraulic adjustment of working depth
Hydraulic depth adjustment ensures optimum comfort of use and significantly facilitates activities related to setting this work parameter. The hydraulic adjustment of working depth, which is easy and operator-friendly, is conducted using spacer clips on cylinders. This option is justified when frequent changes in the working depth of the machine's elements are required.
Bearing units of the roller
By incorporating maintenance-free bearings into the tillage rollers, we minimize the required machine maintenance time. The ductile cast iron housing is four times more durable than its grey cast iron counterpart. The combination of top and internal sealing offers superior protection for agricultural use. Rolmako prioritizes the smallest machine elements in every project, significantly impacting maintenance time and reducing the costs and duration of agricultural equipment inspections.

The substantial amount of steel in their construction makes these tillage tools robust, enabling the utilization of high-power modern tractors and ensuring long-term farm investment.
Steel providing an advantage
Increasingly larger and more powerful agricultural tractors subject the structural elements of agricultural machinery to significant stress, pushing them to their operational limits. Modern agricultural structures are expected to demonstrate high resistance to loads and an extended service life. Achieving a high-quality end product necessitates the use of superior-quality steel in production. Accordingly, we utilize high-quality Swedish fine-grained steels S500MC and S700MC, as well as carbon and boron steels for heat treatment and the wear-resistant Hardox. The use of these high-quality steel products ensures our agricultural equipment is highly durable and capable of operating at high speeds with high surface efficiency.
